Hot Topics in Advertising Claim Substantiation

The FTC Act requires that advertisers substantiate all claims – express and implied – that an advertisement conveys to reasonable consumers. Proper claim substantiation requires determining how consumers will understand the claims made in the advertising and how to properly support the messages conveyed. During this event, we will discuss claim substantiation as it applies to the advertising law world’s hot topics, such as sustainability and green claims, as well as dive into the kind of substantiation testing that can reliably support a variety of technical or comparative claims.

Join us for real-world risk mitigation advice on real-world advertising challenges in a highly competitive landscape. This in-depth event features a panel comprised of BBB National Programs' National Advertising Division Vice President Laura Brett, who will be joined by Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton partner Barry Benjamin

Please note there is no virtual option for this event. Capacity is limited. Register by April 17, 2024, by 5:00 PM ET.
